A Message to the Wedding Couples

My 1st ever Publication on The New Nation Link of The New Nation People in our country find it really difficult to find the right person to make the job done. Especially when it comes to capture the most important moment of their life - the WEDDING CEREMONY. Getting married is the most important event in almost all of our lives. Couples as well as Parents wait for this big event & make a lot of preparation. Sometimes we even take loans from banks. We decorate the wedding hall, stage, houses etc. for the moment. We love to have this occasion. But alas, it is just for the day! After the program, all of the decoration goes in vain and cruelly makes its way to the dustbin. All that remains is the Good Memories in the mind of the couples, in the mind of parents and the attendees. But does human mind is strong enough to have these memories forever? The answers is NO. Then what to do? How to make this day to be remembered throughout the life so that the nest generation and after that remembers it? I know, who is reading the literature carefully, have the answers already in their mind…Exactly…you are right… You have to capture them in the form of media, in the form of picture or video. Couple of things to be noted while it comes to have great pictures: 1. Stage: This is a very big concern of wedding photography. Because most of the pictures are clicked in the stage. While making your wedding stage, make sure that adequate LIGHT is there. Even if the photographers use their flash or other artificial lights, due to lack of ambient light, all the efforts may go in vain. Secondly, make the stage background CONTRAST with the dress of the Bride & Groom. If the Bride & Groom is wearing light colored dress make the stage background dark & if the Bride & Groom is wearing dark colored dress make the stage background light. So it surely indicates that the dress of the Bride & Groom has to be matched. 2. Arrival to the Venue: In my professional carrier I have experienced not too good pictures of the Bride & Groom who arrived late in the Venue. Because, the more time you will give to the Photographers the more better pictures they can take. If you arrive late in your wedding day you won't be able to concentrate & give time to us for taking your pictures. So be very punctual in your own wedding day. 3. Make up: This is another very important issue that you have to keep in mind. Since the wedding is only once in a life, better go to a professional for your make up. There are many Professionals who are expert in this. Take the opinions of your beloved ones to chose the Beauty Parlor. Gather the references & make your decision. If possible, surf the net & print out some pictures with whom your face match & ask the Beauty Parlor to follow that. I am not talking only about the Bride to go to the Beauty Parlor but also insisting the groom to do the same. Because both of the Bride & Groom need to look good. 4. At the time of Photo shoot: Now it is time where " to make this day to be remembered throughout the life" is going to be happen. I normally have a session with the Bride & Groom well before the wedding day. I show them some of my work & instruct them to do so. As a Photographer, I know exactly what I want from the Bride & Groom & it's also very important for the Bride & Groom to know what exactly the Photographer wants. So it's better to have a separate session with the Photographer regarding the Photo shoot. It's very important to have a sync with the Photographer & the Bride & Groom to have some excellent Photo Session. 5. Managing the Invitees: It's also crucial to manage the Invited Guest. The Guest will have to take part in the Photo Shoot. To make it more fruitful, assign someone from your family who can manage the Guest, to draw their attention to the Photography. Make sure that no one comes in front of the Camera while taking pictures. It's a common case that the Guests will also bring Camera. I normally Encourage them but at the same time I make sure that they don't hamper my Duties. One thing you must not forget - you should introduce your important family members to the photographer so that they can prioritize. 6. Outdoor / Studio Shooting: It's very common in other parts of the world to have a Outdoor / Studio Shooting with the Bride & Groom & their Families. It will be both PRE & POST wedding to have a good Photo Story. Go for outing with the full family for some beautiful Photo Session. 7. Some Must Have Shot: When I go for an assignment of Wedding Photography, I regularly take some notes, browse some pictures which help me to take some must have shot. For example, the Full Family of the Bride & Groom with rotation & permutation; the accessories of the wedding (Rings, Watches, Flowers, ornaments etc.); arrival of the Bride & Groom; some formals that is done at the events & so on. It's important that you take the pictures of the moments. Cause my theory is, you should be able to recall the memories of the day even after looking at the pictures 20 years from now. 8. The Photo Story: This Part I like the most. A PHOTO STORY. Don't just only take pictures, capture the moments. The little little incidents of the Wedding Day will give the Photo Story a LIFE. Making a Photo Story or Documentation will give your Wedding Album a higher BOOST than that of your beloved ones. Give both time & energy to the photographer to help you on this. 9. Backing Up the Memories: Well, what to say, all of the Hard Work to capture your memories will go in vain if you don't back up the Soft Copies of the pictures of your Wedding. Cause if the DVD fails or have some malfunction, you will ended up losing your memories. So keep Back Up of the Files in different location. You can also Back Up them in the internet. Lots of website will allow you to do that. Normally I do Back up my Clients Pictures like that so that if they lost it, they can come to me for a second copy. But it's better to do it yourself. 10. Choosing the RIGHT Person for the JOB: Here the question is who is capturing your most important moment’s memories from human mind to the media? Are they competitive enough, trained enough and artistic enough to have the honor to grab your memories? Or just they are coming & clicking & giving you the prints? It’s a good question and very difficult to answer. Whenever you see the picture of your friends and compare it with others, you feel that this one is good or that one is better. But you would obviously want yours to be the very best ones. So be very CAUTIOUS while choosing your Photographer. Have a look at their work via Print or Web & appoint them for the JOB. One common perception exists in the mind of the general people that - Why should we hire a HIGHLY PAID Photographer where I can get the same at a lower Budget? "We are incurring huge expense in the wedding, appointing a Professional Photographer will boost my expense even more, I decided not to go for a Pro... so I can save a lot here" - said one of my friends. I replied, "Yes, you are already incurring Huge Cost for the decoration & others but only for one day... but I am taking money from you to last your Decoration for the rest of your life". So...the decision is up to you. A Wedding Day is a day that you will never forget. So make it more worthy. Get the most out of it cause you will never get it back. Try to enjoy this occasion cause you are going to do that for the rest of the life. Feel the Joy & Relax yourself so that it remains in your Mind along in the Album forever. I wish you all the very best for your Wedding Day & after...
