The name of the disease is Chikungunya. It is a viral fever spread by mosquitoes. The disease marked some clinical signs as of dengue, and can be misdiagnosed in areas where dengue is common. Chikungunya is characterized by a sudden onset of fever frequently accompanied by joint pain which is the outstanding feature. Other common signs and symptoms include muscle pain, headache, nausea, fatigue and rash. The joint pain is often very unbearable, but usually ends within a few days or weeks. Most patients recover completely, but in some cases joint pain may continue for several months. The disease caused by Chikungunya virus that is passing on from human to human by the bites of infected female mosquitoes There is no particular treatment for chikungunya. Infected patient must refer to doctor, adjacent to hospital, NGO Clinic, trained medical practitioner. Prevention and control depends greatly on reducing the number of natural and artificial water-filled container habitats that support breeding of the mosquitoes. Dhaka City Corporation must come forward as early as possible before epidemic the disease. Start dialogue at ward, zone level with local NGOs and other stakes. Media also can take vital rule to prevent the Chikungunya disease.
