It seems that Hollywood producers now are obsessed with vampires, werewolves and other supernatural entities. But too few have managed to meet the expectation. The Vampire Diaries must be within those few. Especially it is the story of good vampires whom you can’t resist and evil vampires who are such evil that you can’t help yourself but to love them. And all those vampires revolve around Elena, whom no vampire can resist loving, a seventeen year old girl who is happened to be Petrova Doppelgänger. Now if you want to know what a Petrova Doppelgänger is, you must watch the series but simply it means a tangible double of a living person. The TV show is based on L.J. Smith’s “The Vampire Diaries”. Although the show was inspired by the box-office success of Twilight, The Vampire Diaries has outperformed the twilight series in many ways. The third season of the series is about to begin from September. So you have to watch 44 episodes of almost 30 hours to complete the first two seasons. But I can guarantee you that you would find few scenes that will make you feel bored. It contains the twist and turns that made it completely unpredictable which is lacked by Twilight or any other vampire movies or TV series. Many say that "The Vampire Diaries" is just the television version of popular vampire movie series "The Twilight Saga". But believe me, after watching a few episodes you wont even want to compare the both. You will find the romance of twilight as well as the twist of True Blood here. And it is said that Stephenie Meyer stole the plot of ‘Twilight’ from the book “The Vampire Diaries.” The series starts with Elena, the main female character who falls in love with a vampire Stefan. Meanwhile, Stefan’s brother Damon, returns with a plan to revenge on Stefan and thus creates the relationship between Elena and Stefan increasingly complicated. But the major plan was to resurrect the Katherine, the Doppelgänger of Elena. Its the start and I am not telling you further because I dont want any spoilers alert in my first blow! Now come to the making, I think it is incredible for a TV series. The actors and actresses did their job perfectly. But I got to tell you about Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev who played the role of Damon and Elena. You will love their job. If there were Oscars on the TV series, I am sure they would get the prize of Best actor and actress. Paul Wesley (Stefan) did a good job too. And they got the return for their hard work. It already bagged the prize of top TV awards like Peoples choice award, Teen Choice award, Saturn award etc. So, enjoy the show…!
