just ordinary When I left country for Cote D’Ivoire I had some bad feelings for my f&f that I am leaving them for one year but with a strong back up in mind that I am going for a noble cause. I stepped in this country when they are in the verge of a war. But with whom? Anybody from outside? Nope. It was them who were fighting within themselves for power. Was it deliberate? I did not knew the answer but later on it was clear to me that this crisis was engineered by the neighboring countries those are land locked and used to use the port facility of Cote D’Ivoire. After some days the war begins with all its fog and friction. Every details of war was available here starting from refuge to war crimes. People read all those news but for the sake of my job I could see those in birds view from the top. At times I was about to be one of the victims of that war. Then, what I have seen is quite unbelievable. Very particular about killing of some thousand people in a village then burnt them and had a handful dinner by those flesh eater mercenaries. It sounds like movie or story but true. Later on after two to three days media could cover that news but with less or no importance. But unfortunately the total international media was after Libya crisis that some 20-25 people were killed. UN, USA(the declared guardian of worlds peace and humanity) participated with a strong voice about that. Here I have the scope to justify the heading of my today’s topic. Those unfortunate villagers were close to an UN camp. A good wish of UN could save them. Otherwise they are meant for that. It is mentionable that during that period SRSG(Special Representative of Secretary General) was available in this country. But still that massacre took place. Then why the presence of UN in this country? Why to spend billions of dollars in the name of peacekeeping? Again during that period UN has withdrawn all their permanent staffs keeping only some scapegoat peacekeeper without a clear mandate. Even the foods for those troops were not looked after for a mentionable period. To my understanding crisis is not by default over here; crisis is made where peacekeeping or peace reinforcement is a well appreciated banner by UN to fulfill the interest of those Giants. UN performs here as a peace engineer who declare crisis then establish that crisis and finally launch a mission to come out of that crisis. Now for me its not living here but surviving. A job without a noble cause must not keep me in peace. At last my prayer to almighty please bless this coutry with peace because only you can keep them in peace nobody else.
