A physician, who passed final of BCS (27th Batch) but could not find a suitable job, allegedly committed suicide at his dormitory at Zahurul Islam Medical College at Bazitpur in Kishoreganj on Thursday afternoon.



A press release, issued and signed by Sarwar Mamun Chowdhury, a BCS (Admin) Cadre and convener of movement for the 27th Batch (BCS), said on Thursday night. It said, Dr Mozammel Haq Shikder, son of late Hanif Shikder of Pirojpur district, committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling of bathroom at his dormitory at 4pm. Long unemployment was the cause of his committing suicide, Sarwar mamun told UNB over phone while confirming the incident Thursday night. He said Mozammel came out successful in BCS 27th Batch test held in January, 2007. After High Court ruling over the 27th Batch Mozammel was finally selected for government job upon the Prime Minister`s assurance for the same, he informed. With three years have already elapsed since he appeared in the BCS test Mozammel, not getting a govt job yet, opted to end his life, failing to withstand curse of long unemployment.
