Best Buy Nabs U.S. Exclusive on Blue Samsung Galaxy S4

If you're thinking of buying a Samsung Galaxy S4, you'll soon be able to get one that matches your collection of Smurfs. The blue version of the GS4 will be available exclusively at Best Buy in the United States starting on Nov. 14, the retailer has confirmed.
In July, Samsung announced it would add more color options for the Galaxy S4, which was originally available just in black and white (or, more formally, Black Mist and White Frost). The new colors — Blue Arctic, Red Aurora, Pink Twilight, Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn — have been slow to migrate to America, although AT&T and Verizon both offer the phone in red and Sprint offers it in purple. Samsung also announced a gold version after the debut of the gold iPhone 5S.

The Blue Arctic GS4 will be landing stateside at more than 1,400 Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores as well as on BestBuy.com, available on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. Best Buy's Elite members can pre-order it starting Nov. 8, and all customers can do so on Nov. 10.
The blue GS4 exclusive at Best Buy is more than cute color coordination for Samsung. The two companies got cozier earlier this year when the Korean tech giant launched its Samsung Experience Shops, a store-within-a-store in several Best Buy locations. Still, it begs the question: Can a Pink Twilight exclusive for T-Mobile be far behind?

This is how Best Buy used to display phones at its retail stores. In the new Samsung Experience Shop, the power connectors are attached to a security element at the bottom of the phone, allowing users to fully explore the phone without having security prevent access to the screen.
The Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note series of tablets are on display and in full view for customer's to explore.
Don't call it a Genius Bar, but it kind of is. Larger stores will have this desk where Samsung Smart Consultants can help diagnose problems with a device or show customer's how to better use their Samsung product.
The tablet displays include a tethered stylus for easy access to the various S-Pen features.
Samsung branded accessories -- including many not widely available elsewhere -- are all displayed on a wall within the shop.
This area of the store shows how the Galaxy line of phones and tablets can interface with a Samsung SmartTV.
In addition to the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series of devices, Samsung will also showcase its Ultrabook and Windows 8 tablet line.
Samsung has integrated its TecTile NFC system into the store displays. Tapping the phone on a TecTile automatically plays back a video showing off a specific feature of the device.
The Smart Service Desk can help Samsung owners -- whether they purchased a device at Best Buy or not -- transfer content, do cloud backups, update software and more.
Smaler tablets get the same treatment as the bigger guys.
Products are organized on tables based on category.
The Samsung sign is visible from almost any point in the store because it is higher than most of the shelves and end-caps.
The Samsung Experience Shop is its own mini-store within Best Buy.
