The 56th annual Grammy Awards are set to take place this Sunday, Jan. 26 at 8pm ET. It’s been a wild year in music, from the on-the-stage (and off) antics of Miley Cyrus to the continued growth of digital music alternatives, such as Pandora and Spotify – as well as the soon-to-be-launched Beats Music.
We’ve also seen the emergence of some new artists in music who have taken the world by storm, including Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who were the most-played artists on Spotify in 2013, Kendrick Lamar, who is up for seven nominations this year, and Ed Sheeran, who was nominated for a Grammy last year, among others.
Best New Artist is one of the most coveted Grammy categories, and this year, there are some amazing nominees.
