Latest Photos From Kiev: 'It Is Awful Out Here'

Despite Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych's shaky call for a truce, violence spiraled out of control on the streets of Kiev on Thursday.
Christopher Miller, Mashable's reporter on ground in Kiev, described the current scene as "awful" and counted 35 dead bodies in the chaos. "Saw [it] with my own eyes and spoke to medical. I watched one man drop dead next to me. Yes, police are using live ammo and snipers," he said.
