A dog escaped the Someșul Mic River in Romania with help from a man who braved slippery rocks and frigid waters to rescue the lucky fur-beast.

A passerby noticed the stranded pup and ventured into the icy water to persuade the dog onto a concrete slab. After the dog refused to continue any further, the man grabbed him by the scruff of his neck to bring him to safety.

Once on dry land, the dog excitedly shows his gratitude by frantically waving his tail and jumping for joy, only stopping to let his rescuer pet him.
