Many American people have been seen Amish families, with the men wearing broad brimmed black hats and the women in bonnets and long dresses, in railway depots or bus terminals. Now the question is why is that? Why they have separated themelf from others? The Amish are a church, a community, a spiritual union, a conservative branch of Christianity, a community whose members practice simple and austere living....and of course a living without using and tools which have been deviated from science and technology. Amish are like to believe that we all human beings are part of the nature and we should live with this harmony. In this Case science and technology have a tendency to break this harmony all the time and therefore this tools must be avoided.

Now lets talk about little bit on the irrigation.As you know that farming is their primary occupation. Past twenty years the Amish have introduced many changes in their farming practices. Besides using hand made tools some of Amish farmers are now thinking about tractors for productivity by considering the land size of Lancaster county.But still now they are satisfied with the production as think the have more than enough as they always be needed. Amish also refuse to accept any direct cash subsidies from the government for any reason.

When I had spent three days with them I found myself totally blessed and honored. All I think Amish are real people, not simply an ideal type of a theoretical construct. Like all human beings, they use signs and symbols to cope with everyday life in order to make their world more meaningful and desirable.

The word Amish means ' honest and truthful'. They dont lie and dont cheat each others.....
