i continue here with my thoughts about how to make the blog a better place, and i try to give you an insight in how and why some posts are deleted. again, to communicate directly with you, i have to write in english. allow me that, i do not see myself as a rajakar even if though i know that my english will exclude many of you. please do comment in bangla if you feel like, i can read (with some help) ;-)

there are several post we have deleted recently, though we are not happy having to delete anyones post. in cases of doubt, the blog team consult with me what we should do with such posts.

i will take the blame if you disagree with where we swing the axe, as in cases of doubt within the team, i normally give the execution or stay order. being the executioner is not a popular job, it is a job someone have to do to weed out stuff that shouldn´t be there. we have deleted posts which used very improper language in reference to the prophet, but kept discussions on religion where argumentation and wording was kept on a decent level. we have deleted posts with offensive language or pictures we regarded as close to pornography. we have deleted posts which was seen as direct harassment of others with personal details or pictures given. we have deleted posts which used or reprinted contents owned by others.

we have axed people that don´t blog according to the terms and conditions, and we may have axed bloggers who normally write very good and appreciated posts. from my own experience in writing (not here), i know that even though i am normally writing in a polite way, sometimes emotions have replaced my good side and i have written words that has caused storms with the receivers. at those times, i wish that a moderator had stopped me before i sent my letter. anyone of you recognizing yourself in my experiences?

if the community have a certain post in mind that you want restored, please give the name of the post and blogger and your justification of the content, and we will review it for a minute chance of revival, as i am also a person which may have taken a wrong decision.

as i have written in my previous post, we want a moderation system which is transparent, and we are very happy that you feel ownership of the blog and strongly engage yourself in how it should be operated and protected. but as long as there is very different opinions on how and what to moderate, we need to take some choices and let the axe fall on some posts, to the satisfaction of some and dissatisfaction of others. to be able to move forwards, we cannot dwell too long with what has happened rather we will work quickly establish order. yes, it has taken time and will take some more time, but hopefully my engagement here gives you the trust that we are putting in quite a lot of work internally on the issue.
