Watch Lea Michele's Heartbreaking 'Glee' Goodbye to Cory Monteith

The Glee cast bid a tearful farewell to castmate Cory Monteith in Thursday's episode, "The Quarterback." Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on the Fox show, died July 13 of a drug overdose.

The episode, set three weeks after Finn's funeral, never reveals the cause of his death. Instead, the cast pays tribute to Finn by doing what they do best -- singing. Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, Monteith's on and offscreen girlfriend, returned to the halls of William McKinley High School to say goodbye.

Rachel sang "Make You Feel My Love," saying it was the first song she and Finn sang together in the car -- something she used to do alone until she met him.

The entire cast opened the episode with a touching version of the musical Rent's "Seasons of Love." It featured the current students who knew Finn as a teacher as well as the original New Directions who sang alongside the soft-hearted jock in the first few seasons.
