A man spent many years in spiritual pursuit. Finally, God became satisfied with his devotion and said He would grant one wish. But the condition was, it would have to be just one wish. So the man thought a little and said, “Dear God, I want to die peacefully and in good health on a golden bed in a seven storied building in the presence of my grandchildren and great grandchildren.” So God replied, what is left to ask for?
Our career should be like that prayer. It should provide the opportunity to serve the world by developing our intellect, our talent. It should bring balance in our life and the rewards of it should be the kind that enriches both this life and afterlife. This is Quantum’s view towards career.

On 4th September the speakers of Enlightenment Program laid this wise thought in front of the mesmerized audiences. They said that the problem in our career is that we want to earn more with less work. We want a job in which there is no work, or a business in which the money, assets and property everything is ready. We just want to collect profit. But this is never possible. There is no short cut to a successful career.
Here are some tips for a successful career.

Find out what you are good at: Understand where your talent lies, what interests you the most. Do you want a job or your own business? Don’t let family or others influence your decision. Take your decision and respect it. Remember you are what you think of yourself.

Work with joy: There are no short-cut in the path of success. You’ll have to work hard and if you don’t enjoy your work you won’t be able to continue for long. But that enjoyment will come when you know why you are working. If you work for the well-being of others then inspiration to work will come naturally.

Use your talent to serve others: Many of us think that the products of career are our earnings, our position and power. Actually these are the by-products. The product of career is only our work. If you work with the attitude of serving others than even ordinary work will make you immortal. So always ask yourself how can you serve better and better!

Develop your skills continuously: Keep on competing with yourself. Try to surpass the ‘you’ of yesterday today. Always think of your boss as a guide and your colleagues as associates.

Meditate regularly: Meditation provides the quiet moments you need to find your real talent. In meditation you can visualize your goal. You can visualize the moment of your last breath. Visualize that you have left your mark through your work, your career.
