Old version compiler: Turbo C 3.0 It is a good compiler for beginners for debugging purpose.It is a dos-mode compiler.Just run the INSTALL.exe file to install it and follow the procedures that come. New version compiler: 1.Turbo C 4.5 (I have no download link for it at this time) 2.Dev C++ It is opensource and free. Get its portable version here . 3.Codeblocks It is also free and open source. 4.Visual C++ It is included in the software package by Microsoft,may have other links to 6.0 edition and 2008express edition.
