DM3730 and DM3725 expand the DaVinci family of video processors to deliver up to 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 and 800 MHz DSP into a single cost-effective, low power, high-performance digital media processor capable of 720p video encoding and decoding. The DM37x devices help reduce costs by integrating popular peripherals such as USB, MMC/SD, UART, and video/audio input and output, plus much more. Targeted at such end-equipments as portable consumer multimedia, industrial, medical, smart energy, communications and many others, the DM37x delivers a nearly 40% increase in ARM performance, over 50% increase in DSP performance, and twice the 3D graphics capability, while reducing power consumption when compared to the popular previous generation OMAP35x.
