Now a days the biggest threat to the world is young drug abuse. They not only destroy their lives but also their family, society as well as country. If we ponder deeply over the matter, we can point out many reasons behind it. These are mentioned below: Firstly, curiosity & unconsciousness. For example, a college student sees his friends misusing drugs everyday & enjoying as a result his temptation and curiosity will be rising day by day. But he totally unawares about the harmful effect of narcotics. Secondly, lack of vacancy. After finishing education, if you cannot manage a job by few years of trying, it’ll create pressure on you. Also you have no enough money for starting a new business. So what can you do? You are surely drawn into the sea of anxiety, tension and sadness. Finally you want to get relief from those and you’ll destroy your life by abusing drug. Thirdly, aim less life- In some rich families, you can identify some youngs who have no goals in life because they are getting whatever they want. So how to spend time? Forbidden things are always attractive. You cannot compensate this. Prevention is better than cure. Government and society have to step forward on this issue and take some emphatic approach. They can use mass media for advertising the harmful effects of the illegal use of drugs for people’s acknowledgment. In high schools, a chapter related to with that should be included in their curriculum. Parents can take special care of their children by treating them by their own religion because in every religion wrong use of narcotics are totally prohibited. Illegal marketing of drugs should be restricted. From my point of view, I want to asseverate that youth are the future and prosperity of a country. We should protect them from this dangerous addiction otherwise our country and society will be in chaos.
