if you passed by drik gallery this afternoon, you would see loads of police and journalists. why? not because of a bomb, at least not a physical one. because of a photo exhibition to be opened, showing the tibetan peoples way into exile. pretty dangerous stuff... i managed to get inside at 4pm, just before the police came. still inside with shahidul and his people. three lines of police blocking the gates. i had expected a more free society in 2009. anyway, now the whole world knows and even more attention brought for the tibetans through blogs, live casting and the big news names. this is the power of the new media, just wish the big brothers would adjust better to the new reality. would be less shameful.
