It can be seen today that, while Britian has reliquished much of its empire, it still seeks to hold on in other ways. America’s global power is the only other real threat for the British empire. The empirical struggle that exists between America and Britain is that of a cultural and intellectual one. They continue their struggles through attempting to win over the hearts and minds of all peoples, with a clear focus on the Muslim Ummah (being their one and only real threat) and that of the sub-continental region. The war in the Swat valley is a sign of how hard the West is fighting to keep a hold on the region, and is also a sign of how much the Muslims want Islam and how close the West is to losing their grip on the Muslims. Military action is their last resort, where if they had not done so they would have ideologically lost the region. They use the same tactics everywhere, whether it be against the hindus, jews or their own christian nation. Always remember this.
