Bismillah hiroman nirohim, Assalamu alaykum warahmatallahi wabarakatuh dear brothers and sisters in Islam. This is my first post here on somewherein.blog. I am from Australia and I am a Muslim Alhamdulillah. I worship Allah and as the 'about me' says, all I wish to do is to be His (subhana watallah) slave. And we should all strive to think about this and implement it. But what does being Allah's slave involve? Does it mean we just pray, pay zakat, sawm in ramadan, and try and go on hajj inshAllah? Precisely not! It is much more than this. In the Pillars of Islam, the first pillar is the shahadah: "La ilaha illallah, Muhammader Rasulallah." It is first because without it you cannot be a Muslim. And without this declaration and believing in this declaration you will not be able to understand, gain knowledge and complete the fards that are there for us to fulfill. This is the most important of pillars. By saying the shahadah and ascribing to this it leads us to the understanding of the pillars of our faith. There are six of these. They continue as follows: 1) Allah 2) Angels 3) Messengers 4) Books 5) Day of Judgment 6) Al Qada wal Qadar Without these things you cannot have iman. Iman is not exactly 'faith' it is a lot of things. And Iman was just one of the words the Prophet (sallahu alaywasalam) and the sahabah used to say in relation to describing our pillars of faith, our 'aqeedah. From then ascribing and accepting the 'aqeedah as the root of our faith we must then further enact what Allah has ordained for us. To understand what has been ordained for us we look to the Qur'an and the Sunnah. In here are all the details for life, past, future and present. With Qur'an and Sunnah Islam became a comprehensive religion. It encompasses all things from the way we eat, and with which hand, to the manner in which the amir rules over a people, to the conducts of war back down to the boundaries of land and treatment of orphans. Subhan Allah. Allah is the best of Planners, the most Just and Wise. He is All-Knower, All-Seet and the ultimate Judge of us all.
