I do not want to reach the conclusion right away now. However, I want to discus some facts that seriously caught my attention. Since the BRD Mutiny took place, I was trying to avoid any comments regarding who/why did this. I could not reach any conclusion. From the very first day I noticed hundreds messages and phone calls motioning two things. The main theme of those were “Army is going out of control” and “Support for BDR”. Think about these two. Didn’t you get these two subject matters? And you never had any reason to support BDR blindly or know the situation of mental position of Army Cantonment. With news in electronic-media/internet/print-media and over mobile phone all the information came you gave you these messages. What would happen in the country if there was a direct clash between army and BDR? Army would have crash them in minutes? I have trust that army would have crashed the BDR in hours if not in minutes. The army helicopter was flying over the Pilkhana and we saw the reaction also. If it was gun fight, I would take time surly but if army would use massive ammunitions like tank/air attack etc, it would take minutes and they would also crash all the hostages, BDR jawans, civilians etc in and around the Pilkhana. And army was ready with tanks and heavy ammunitions we saw in the TV. I saw many rescue operations in Russia (School-hostage situation), Greece (Bus-hostage), recently Mumbai hostage etc but I never saw a hostage situation being tackled by tanks. Although, our army wanted to. I also heard news that army sealed weapons of police and BDR in all over the country, what was a complete lie. Rather in the 2nd morning I found many news of BDR mutiny in all over the country. If the weapons were sealed then how did BDR manage to create mutiny in other places? When the overall support is for BDR (in that time) and army crashed all the BDR and army crashed all of them with hostages and civilians what would it bring? - Blame of failure in political solution by government - All killed and destroyed means no evidence - BDR-Army clash in Pilkhana may lead clashes in all over the country, may be not only Army vs BDR, and may be Police Anser also led to the clash. - Chaos in the country in massive level. Army will kill all of them!! That would defiantly give a group of army an edge to coup. Even now army took an edge in the name of operation rebel hunt. Few Questions i) When army was cordoning all the Pilkhana, how thousands of BDR jawans went away? ii) Sahara, Nanak, Azam and state minister of law ministry is being blamed because of coming out alive ... at that time whoever would try to negotiate could have been blamed. IGP was also there at that time. If it is the case, people who are blaming was not willing a peaceful solution. Neither wanted any BDR troops or Army personal (who was in pilkhana) alive. iii) Among the army officers, why many were not even got a chance to talk before being killed and why some even didn’t get wounded? iv) Why does army wants to go out of control in every crisis moment in Bangladesh? v) Why Military Intelligence made a press meeting and said 72 more bodies are yet to be found however today army confirmed only 7 missing? vi) Ignoring any intention of coup another reason comes. If there is any mutiny there in armed forces the regiment/group performs mutiny the authority dissolves that. Here the cluster is BDR. Who wants to dissolve the BDR? Who wants to get the border security charge in the place of BDR? Can’t this question be raised that along with a group of BDR soldiers and outsiders there were definitely a group of Army who was with this conspiracy. Other wise how come intelligence couldn’t even give any clue of it? All these are thoughts based on facts. Do not want you to believe all these but want you to take into consideration.
