BERLIN — Remember all those TV's from LG we wrote about on Thursday? Add another one to the list: the world's largest Ultra HD (4K) Curved OLED TV set.
Early on, it looked as if Samsung was going to emerge victorious in the "first and largest" battle here at IFA Berlin. Its monstrous 98-inch 4K TV is still the world's largest Ultra HD TV, but LG's new 77-inch offering adds an important technology to the mix: a curved OLED panel.

LG didn't share many technical details about the TV, but the picture is incredibly clear and vivid, just like the picture produced by its little brother, the 55-inch LG 55EA9800. The extra inches, however, make the entire experience a lot more impressive.
For as good as the picture is, it was near impossible, amidst the crowded IFA show floor, to fully immerse ourselves in the curved display experience. That said, though we'd need more time with it to give it a final verdict, this might just might be the best TV we've ever laid eyes upon.
The TV is just a concept at this stage, but we have no doubt LG will do its best to launch it before its competitors catch up. The price is unknown, but you can extrapolate from LG's other curved offering, the 55-incher, which listed for $14.999 when it arrived in the U.S. earlier this year.
