If you saw someone use unpaid items to make a sandwich in a supermarket, would you say anything?
That's what comedian Shannon DeVido wanted to find out, so she filmed herself snacking in a grocery store to see if anyone would call her out for eating a bowl of cereal in the middle of an aisle.

Not only was DeVido able to chow down undisturbed, she even enlisted the help of fellow customers to assemble her cart-side meals.
"The guy that walked past me while I was making the ice cream cone, apologized for being in my way," she told Mashable. "It was like it was totally normal. The two people at the end who weren't employees, just jumped in and sang happy birthday ... They didn't think it was weird that we had a cake with lit candles in the middle of a grocery store."
This isn't the first social experiment DeVido has conducted; she kicked off her web series, Stare at Shannon, by driving her wheelchair though the drive-thrus of various fast-food restaurants.
"In a society that has become overly PC, I've found myself in situations where I seem to fly under the radar. I don't know if it's because people too scared to offend me, or if they are really just that complacent," DeVido, who uses a wheelchair, said in the video's description. Nonetheless, I'm going to push the limits and attempt things that everyone thinks about doing."
