'SNL' Sketch Links Government Shutdown to 'Gravity' Disaster

This post includes spoilers about the film Gravity.
George Clooney and Sandra Bullock had one heck of a time trying to save themselves in space in the blockbuster film Gravity.
In the movie, the astronauts were left stranded without Houston's help because crashing debris interfered with communications. However, Saturday Night Live's latest hilarious sketch (above) reimagines it with a different culprit: the government shutdown.

Clearly, if everyone at NASA was at work instead of being furloughed, Clooney and Bullock may have been able to moonwalk their way back to the International Space Station like it was NBD.
And for anyone worried about whether this dangerous situation could actually occur in real life, U.S. President Barack Obama assured the public that the two astronauts currently on board the ISS will still have help from mission control. But let's just hope mission control doesn't mean a couple of clueless janitors like the ones in this sketch.
