In the video above, web developer Jake Riesterer explained how web-based technology frameworks perform in real-world applications.
"In general, for most of the apps that you're building, web actually holds up quite well, and it's getting a lot better," Riesterer said. "Software and hardware are both advancing at a very rapid rate."
Riesterer also gave his predictions for the future of cross-platform mobile development technologies, such as Titanium and Phonegap. He suspects that these frameworks will continue to grow because they help developers to build multiple platforms, and they allow users to augment web code with native facets.
