Lorde, the singer behind the hit song "Royals" (not to be confused with Madonna's daughter Lourdes), turned 17 on Thursday.
The singer remains largely shrouded in secrecy, aside from the fact that she has made several less than flattering comments about fellow musicians.

But like many teenagers, the best way to learn about her hopes, dreams and candy preferences is to read her Twitter feed.
