When President John F. Kennedy was assasianated on Nov. 22, 1963, millions of Americans were alerted to the tragedy by watching Walter Cronkite's broadcasts on CBS News.
On the 50th anniversary of the assasination, CBS News will be streaming the original news broadcasts minute-by-minute in real-time, just as the brodcasts were originally delivered, this time on CBSNews.com.

The streaming will start at 1:40 p.m. ET on Nov. 22, the same time the first CBS breaking news bulletins hit airwaves in 1963. The coverage of historic newscasts will continue through the weekend, marking those famous "four days in November" that comprised the assassination through President Kennedy's funeral.
CBSNews.com will also provide additional coverage of the 50th anniversary commemoration, including features on the JFK presidency. The website will have a schedule so viewers will know when to tune in for specific streams and reports. CBS News will also live-tweet the streaming coverage from Nov. 22 to Nov. 25.

Key moments from the stream wil be available on-demand on CBSNews.com. CBS will be sharing these moments on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #JFK50.

CBS also has an on-demand DVD featuring the orignal 1967 news broadcast discussing the Warren Report which, though fraught with inconsistencies, constituted the congressional investigation into Kennedy's death.
