Jack Robbins is a champion and you're gonna hear him roar — for the first time ever.
The 8-year-old from Texas has severe autism, leaving him mostly nonverbal (apart from basic words or repeating short phrases when told). He doesn't communicate emotion or create his own sentences, that is, until he heard a Katy Perry tune.

Robbins' parents began noticing their son continuously repeating phrases and sounds. Assuming it was nothing, they ignored it, Robbins' mom, Carla, explained in the video's YouTube description. Jack's dad eventually realized that his son was singing the popular song "Roar."
They recorded Jack's performance and uploaded it to the Internet, where it instantly went viral. It's proof that music can really be therapeutic.
“For all these years, I’ve cooked for him, I put things on him, I dress him,” Carla told Today. “I don’t know if he likes them or hates them. This is huge for me to finally know something that he likes.”
Sorry, Katy, but your song has never sounded better.
