If there's one thing the world knows about rapper Waka Flocka Flame, it's that the man goes hard in the mothaf****ng paint.
Waka's ethos, also evidenced in his hit song of same title, is palpable in his newly released mobile game, WakaVille. In it, your dreadlocked avatar's mission is to kill hordes of zombies, leaving their undead bodies stinking and others to wonder what they had even been thinking, as the lyrics go.
"I'm big on, like, the zombie apocalypse, I'm big on aliens ," Waka told Mashable from his tour bus while en route from Portland to Seattle. "So this sounded like the perfect game. I wanted to make something real nerdy, you know what I'm saying?"
The 99-cent game was released Wednesday for Android and iOS and developed by MXL Games. Players can use guns, knives or their digital fists to combat the zombies, while leveling up to superior weaponry through accomplishments or in-app purchases. A social element lets players compete with others from around the world, while real-life prizes for successful zombie killers include headphones, concert tickets and a chance to hang backstage with Waka at one of his shows.
Waka has a tip for players who want to maximize their zombie-slaying abilities.
"Make sure you get a better knife," he says. "A butcher knife. It helps. But once you get the hang of it — learning to aim, shoot, get your jumping ability up — it's good."

He drew inspiration for WakaVille from his deep gaming background, citing Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons, 007, Marvel, Resident Evil and Tomb Raider by name.
But really, inspiration came from "every game I've ever played," he says. "All of the games, man."
Waka does say his game's "nerdy" roots owe a special debt to Zelda, however.
"You gotta be a real gamer to play Zelda ," he explains.
And did Waka play much Zelda growing up? "Yup, N64," he says. "I beat it."
WakaVille is just the beginning for this hit-making rapper. He sights are set on much bigger goals within the world of gaming and technology.
"I released this app because one of my goals is to make a console video game, like for PlayStation or Xbox," he says. "I wanted to start from the ground up. I feel like starting from the ground up is me doing an app, is me starting to get a feel for it. But you can expect way more games. I'm coming out with a lot of games."
So are there any tech-world luminaries the budding entrepreneur looks up to in particular? You'll have to wait to find out.
"I'll expose that later on," Waka says. "I don't wanna show no favoritism. I don't wanna make no one mad."
Spoken like a true hit squad killer.
