YouTube has released a list of its top trending videos for 2013, as well as the list of most-watched music and news videos.
The first video on the list, music video The Fox by the Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis, has been watched more than 275 million times. It's followed by the ubiquitous Harlem Shake, which has 95 million views (probably several times as much if you count the myriad of covers), and the funny video How Animals Eat Their Food, which has more than 88 million views.

Brands have done well this year, with three promo videos reaching the top 10 list: Evian's Baby&Me, Volvo Trucks's Epic Split with Jean-Claude Van Damme, and the Telekinetic Coffee Shop Prank, actually a promo for remake of classic horror film Carrie.

YouTube also released the list of top 10 music videos from 2013, as well as the list of top news videos of the year.
On YouTube, the most viewed music video of the year was Psy's Gentleman M/V, followed by two Miley Cyrus singles — Wrecking Ball and We Can't Stop.
On the news front, the top video was RT's footage of the meteorite crash in Russia from February. Number two on the list is Boston Globe's video of the explosions at the Boston Marathon, which occurred in April, followed by zidyboby's footage of the explosion at the fertilizer plant near Waco, Texas, just a few days after the Boston marathon bombings.

BONUS: The Most-Watched Gaming Videos of 2013
The official announcement trailer for the PlayStation 4 was released along with Sony's presentation on Feb. 20.
The first gameplay trailer showed players the giant, open world of Grand Theft Auto V, so they naturally went crazy for it.
"Let's Play" videos took off this year, and YouTuber PewDiePie led the pack. This video, which boasts 27 million views and climbing, shows the final chapter of his playthrough of Mad Doctor, and includes a very creepy ending.
This CG video shows popular League of Legends characters, also known as champions. It has received over 24 million views so far.
The next chapter of Call of Duty was revealed with much fanfare in April.
League of Legends has 45 million players worldwide, so it's no surprise to see a second video featuring its champions on the list.
Fans got a lengthy look at Battlefield 4's gameplay in March. As excitement for this popular online shooter grew, it's not surprising that this YouTube clip passed 16 million views.
PewDiePie has the most subscribers on YouTube, so it's no surprise that two of his videos made the list. This one features a montage of bits from Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Bully, GTA IV and other titles.
At this year's E3, Sony took a bite out of Microsoft's proposed used-games structure for Xbox One, which limits players to sharing a game disc with only one friend. This video shows how PlayStation 4 users can "share" games.
This humorous "Let's Play" based in Minecraft gives the sandbox game a competitive spin.
