ফিরে এল আমার হারানো কবিতা...

ছোট বেলায় যখন আমি ক্লাস ওয়ান কি টু তে পড়ি, আব্বা প্রায়ই কবিতাটা বিড় বিড় করে আবৃত্তি করতেন। আমি তাঁর ভরাট কন্ঠে আবৃত্তি শুনতাম মন্ত্রমুগ্ধের মত। অর্থও জিজ্ঞাসা করতাম না। বুঝতামও না।
আস্তে আস্তে বড় হলাম।

সময় আর বয়সের ঠেলায় আব্বাও আর আবৃত্তি করেন না। কবিতাটাও কালক্রমে হারিয়ে গেল আমার স্মৃতি থেকে।
হঠাৎ সেদিন Nelson Mandela’র জীবননির্ভর মুভি Invictus দেখার সময় Morgan Freeman এর কন্ঠে কবিতাটা শুনেই আঁতকে উঠলাম। এটাই সেই কবিতা, যা ম্যান্ডেলাকে তাঁর কারারুদ্ধ ২৭ বছরের জীবনে অনুপ্রেরণা যুগিয়েছিল প্রবলভাবে। নেট থেকে সাথে সাথে নামিয়ে পড়ে ফেললাম কবিতাটা।

এখানে দিয়ে দিলাম পাঠকদের জন্য।

কবিতাটি গত কয়েকদিনে অন্তত শ'খানেক বার পড়া হয়ে গেছে ইতোমধ্যে।
যতবারই পড়ি না কেন, ততবারই নতুনভাবে অনুপ্রেরণা পাই কনফিডেন্টলি বেঁচে থাকার। এগিয়ে চলার।
সত্যিই তো ,
We are the masters of our fate:
We are the captains of our soul.
