'365 Days of Balloons' Tumblr Is Totally Twisted

Meghan Coleman loves a good challenge. Last September, the graphic designer began her most recent endeavor, 365 Days of Balloons, a Tumblr blog dedicated to creating one colorful twisted object each day for a whole year.
Coleman, who describes herself as a "creative adventurer" on her website, is definitely up to the task. Now on day 106, her balloons have become wildly popular all over the internet. The cute and quirky objects themselves range in size and difficulty — from adorable animals like an owl and a sloth to a fully-harnessed Santa and his nine reindeer. She also loves to make pop culture creations, like Superman and Disney princesses.

"I really wanted to push myself out of what I do normally everyday," Coleman said, when asked about her inspiration for her project, "I'm creative in my daily life."
When the project first began, she started by making the balloons for family and friends by taking requests, but then the project got a lot bigger from there. If you are curious as to what becomes of her whimsical creatures once she's done with them, don't worry; no balloons are harmed after posting. "They all find a very good home," Coleman says, either with happy children of her coworkers and friends or admired in her office.
As to what Coleman's next "creative adventure" will be, she really cannot say. "Something more complex," she said. In the meantime, she has another 259 days to go. That means you also have 259 days to request a balloon animal on her Tumblr blog. Below are a few popular creations to get you inspired.
