Some of these venues are still around, left abandoned or under constant construction. It seems like such a waste to leave these once-magnificent houses of glory to rot by the side of the road. Why not give them all a little sprucing up?
There are a lot of things people can do with all those abandoned Olympic sites they've got lying around.
Think of all the cute little birds that will flock to Beijing once it's finished. Everybody loves birds.
Step 1: Take 10,257 truckloads of peanut butter. Lay it on thick.
Step 2: Unload 1,825 dump trucks filled with birdseed.
Step 3: Spread evenly, and you're done!
Why spoil something that looks so cool? This will only make it more beautiful.
Step 1: Weave all of the world's supply of pipe cleaners through the horizontal rungs. (The more colors, the better!)
Step 2: Take cute bunting with 7,015 square feet of felt, and hang it from the arches.
Instant covered archway!
There's nothing a little soap can't clean! Use that big, square hole in the ground for some artisanal suds.
Step 1. Grab about 660,000 gallons of your favorite essential oils. Pour them in.
Step 2. Use a cement mixer to melt and distribute all of the shea butter evenly into the mold.
Step 3: Let it cool. Presto!
Christmas can last year-round with this fun project.

Step 3: Pour 2,000 tons of glitter. That will be your snow!
Step 4: Fill the globe completely with distilled water. Now you just need someone large enough to shake it.
Another great tool for your craft box: instant embroidery hoop.

Step 2: Embroider something cute. Abracadabra!
Conversation stairs are predicted to be really hot in 2014. Why not give this place an upbeat attitude?
Step 1: Paint the steps a bright fun color, like hot pink.
Step 2: Write some encouraging phrases on the front of each step. Write something fun like "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," or "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." Now passerby are informed!
It's already kind of shaped like an instrument, so why not turn it into a harp?
Step 1: Attach 26,000 feet of harp strings.
Step 2: Play beautiful music. Insta-harp!
The best way to beat the heat!
Step 1: Get about 1200 pool noodles, and place them along the track as bumpers. Safety first!

Step 3: Turn on the water hose, and you've got instant fun in the sun!
Add some beauty with some art!
Step 1: Setting the track as your mold, use papier mache to make the snake's body and head.
Step 2: Paint the snake in bright, happy colors.
Gorgeous!
