The Red Hot Chilli Pipers — not to be confused with the Red Hot Chili Peppers — performed a rocking rendition of Avicii's "Wake Me Up" to kick off the announcement of BBC's Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow.

The cover takes an unexpected turn when it transitions into the '90s hit "Gonna Make You Sweat," better known as "Everybody Dance Now" by C+C Music Factory. (Jock Jams, anyone?)
The tune bears little resemblance to the traditional Scottish folk music we're used to hearing from pipers. The group also incorporates traditional rock instruments, such as guitar, bass, keys and percussion, to create their "bagrock" sound. Who knew bagpipes would make you want to dance?
BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend will be held at Glasgow Green from May 24 to 25.
