By now, we all know about the overnight success and subsequent demise of Flappy Bird.
Although the app is gone, those who miss the rage-inducing fowl don't have far to go for addictive alternatives and spinoffs. Of them, Flappy Bird Typing Tutor may just be the best. Or worst (depending on your perspective).

The web-based Flappy Bird Typing Tutor is part Flappy Bird, part typing game. Its basic premise is the same as the original: Keep the bird alive and in the air, while avoiding pipes. But rather than perfectly timing taps on a screen, players must perfectly time keystrokes that correspond to text above the game. A wrong or mistimed keystroke is all it takes to send the bird falling from the sky to its violent death.
Flappy Bird Typing Tutor is a Flappy Bird-themed typing game.

"The creator of the current smash-hit game Flappy Bird is either a certified genius or an authentic wacko," Flappy Bird Typing Tutor creator Mr. Speaker said in a blog post that details how to cheat the original Flappy Bird. "In either case, this game ignores every rule of good design: plopping you into your own personal crazily-addictive fire-y hell of casual gaming. All you can do is suppress your rage, grit your teeth and try yet again to beat your standing high-score of '6'."
Yet it appears Mr. Speaker may be something of an evil genius himself because his game is equally — if not more — infuriatingly addictive than the original. Like its predecessor, Flappy Bird Typing Tutor sounds simple, but quickly becomes completely difficult, even for the best touch typists.
