The photos of a new, larger "iPhone 6," posted by frequent hardware leaker Sonny Dickson on Wednesday, have been pointed out as probable fakes by an eagle-eyed member of the Reddit community.
Using the name "colinstalter," the Reddit poster focused on the smudges on the screen of the supposed leaked device as matching the texture pattern on an image (see below) created by Netherlands-based 3D graphics artist Martin Hajek.

"As for those visuals — they do seem to be based on the iPhone 6 concept 3D model which I made and have been selling on Turbosquid for almost one year now," Hajek told Mashable when asked about the similarities between the supposed leak device and his work. "With my 3D models I normally provide texture maps of fingerprints/scratches/dust...I am guessing someone made good use of my model and knowledge."
In addition to the iPhone 6 concept design, Hajek's website and Flickr page include a galleries of incredibly realistic Apple concept device imagery, including well rendered images of the new Mac Pro, his version of the rumored Apple smart television and a great conceptual take on an iWatch.
The quality and hyper-realism of Hajek's Apple renders indicate that we have finally reached a point at which advanced 3D graphics and Photoshop now render nearly all supposed device leaks suspect.
Nevertheless, the authentic nature of the iPhone 6 concept design offers further proof that an Apple "phablet" might not be as unrealistic as some might have imagined.

Apple is rumored to launch two new iPhones later this year: one with a screen larger than 4.5 inches and one with a screen larger than 5 inches.
Ciccarese's vision for an iPhone with a 5.5-inch display (1,568 x 878 pixels) as well as one with a 4.7-inch (1,338 x 750) display. The 4-inch iPhone 5S (1,138 x 649) is shown to the left.
The move from the iPhone 4-inch display would dip into the much-debated "phablet" category.
Designer Federico Ciccarse opted to give his concepts a curved back, even though The Wall Street Journal indicated the coming models will be flat.
