While some picks won't surprise you (engagement rings and diamond earrings are as popular as ever), it's a surprise to see certain brands and antiquated items rise in search numbers. Alex and Ani, anyone? How about chocolate diamonds?

A popular, classic type of ring, thanks in part to its aspirational name, is the princess cut diamond. Square in shape, the style has a simple band with a standalone diamond, and is regularly used for engagement rings. A lot of lucky women are about to feel like royalty this holiday.
