As far as weather goes, Sochi has been a somewhat fickle mistress to this year's Winter Olympics.
After several days of unusually warm weather, a thick fog settled over Sochi, causing delays to several events, including the men's biathlon (which was already delayed from Sunday evening, also due to fog) and men's snowboard cross. Both events have been postponed until Tuesday.

The organizers of the Games are extremely careful to avoid more problems after a slew of injuries over the weekend, Reuters reports.
The most serious injury was to Maria Komissarova, a Russian ski cross athlete, who hurt her spine and had to undergo a 6-hour surgery Saturday. Komissarova was flown to a specialist clinic in Germany on Sunday where she will undergo a second operation.
