HP Pavilion x360 Looks a Lot Like Lenovo's Yoga Design
HP rolled out its Pavilion x360 laptop-tablet convertible device that is strikingly similar to Lenovo's Yoga.
The news comes as some of the biggest mobile manufacturers announce new products at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week.
The 11-inch clamshell laptop, which has a screen that can flip all the way over on its hinge and twist around to become a tablet, is targeted mostly to students and young professionals, giving them the flexibility to switch into different modes based on what they're doing.
Clearly HP isn't shy about taking nods from its competitors. Just like the Yoga, the HP's screen can be positioned in four different ways: laptop, stand, tent and tablet mode. But the Pavilion is competitively priced at $399 — the Yoga 2 is $549.
The Pavilion x360, which will be available in the United States starting Wednesday and launch with 4G this summer, serves as a full Windows 8.1 PC with an Intel Pentium processor. It also comes with a high-definition 800 x 600 display with 10-point capacitive multitouch and an HP TrueVision webcam. It weighs 3 pounds and is less than an inch think (0.86 inches).
The Pavilion x360 also comes in two flavors — brilliant red and smoke silver — and features with Beats Audio dual speakers.

Nokia unveiled the Nokia X, a budget-model Android phone priced at 89 euros (roughly $120).
Sony unveiled the Xperia Z2, the company's new flagship smartphone, a mere four months after introducing Xperia Z1 and one year after launching the first phone in the series, the Xperia Z.
Sony also decided to upgrade its mid-range smartphone offering with the Xperia M2.
