MTV Announces the 2014 Movie Award Nominations

MTV announced its nominations for the 2014 MTV Movie Awards with none other than Conan O'Brien at the helm as host.
Unlike other awards shows, such as the Oscars or Grammys, winners are chosen by public vote. Starting Thursday, fans can cast their ballot on the MTV Movie Awards' site.

Many consider this awards show to be a less serious, casual version of the Academy Awards. You won't see categories like "Best Scared as Sh*t Performance," and "Best Shirtless Performance" anywhere else.
The show will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, April, 13, 1014 at 9:00 p.m. EST.
