The Super Bowl and Winter Olympics are already behind us. March Madness has just one week left. That means it's time for one thing and one thing only, fellow sports fans: Major League Baseball's opening day, which will see 26 of the league's 30 teams take the field on Monday.
But which teams are penny pinchers, and which let money burn a whole in their figurative pockets? Who's the highest-paid player on each team? And which MLB teams' payrolls actually translate to wins? The extremely nifty interactive map, below, lets you explore all of that and more.

Produced by GIS mapping company Esri, the tool starts out as a zoomed-out map of the United States. You can click any team name in the left-hand column or any of the plotted points on the map to get data for a specific team; doing so results in an aerial view of each team's stadium — which is, in itself, pretty cool — as well as a breakdown in the left-hand column of wins, losses, payroll this season, payroll in previous seasons and the most well-compensated player on each roster.
Enjoy.
