5 Apps You Don't Want To Miss

Oyster puts 100,000 books in the palm of your hand. The service works as a “Netflix for Books,” and gives you access to its entire library for a $9.99 monthly fee.
Human is an app that runs in the background on your phone, and tracks your movements to ensure you get at least 30 minutes of activity each day. You can see whether you've fulfilled your daily quota of activity, and share that information on social networks.
Nextdoor, the social network designed specifically for neighborhoods, rolled out its Android app on Wednesday. The app connects neighbors, so they can easily discover what’s happening in town; that way, they can participate in activities such as organizing a neighborhood crime watch, helping find a lost pet or getting a suggestion for a repairman.
PayPal updated its mobile app this week, allowing users to find nearby stores and restaurants that accept PayPal, as well as the ability to order ahead from restaurants. Around 1,000 restaurants will offer the service, with more expected to participate in the future.
Content-curation app Scoop.it launched for iPad this week. The app allows users to create their own topic channels, and share subjects that matter to them -- similar to creating your own topic-based magazine.
