LivingSocial Has Been Down for Almost 24 Hours

Daily deals site LivingSocial has been down for almost a full day as the company executes "maintenance."
As of 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday, the company's webpage was still telling users "LivingSocial is temporarily down for maintenance. This won‘t take too long. We'll be back soon." The message adds that consumers can still access their vouchers via email. LivingSocial's mobile apps are also not functioning properly. The message had previously stated that the maintenance was "scheduled," but the company later updated the language. According to Twitter, the site has been down for about 20 hours.

A LivingSocial rep told Mashable that it would soon issue an update on its company blog. Its last post from Tuesday blamed the issues on an "internal error."
We were alerted immediately to the outage and have had teams working non-stop to resolve the issue. We have isolated the problem and will have the site up and running again as soon as possible. There is nothing to indicate that this was the result of any external factors.
LivingSocial's revenues in 2012 were $536 million, meaning a day offline could cost it about $1.4 million. The company also lost $650 million that year and laid off 400 employees. The daily deals site's troubles continued this year as some 50 million accounts were compromised in an April hack.
