Vine Challenge: Create Your Own Cartoon

Create a cartoon for this week's Mashable Vine Challenge. You can mix and match characters from famous shows, or make your own masterpieces from scratch. Feel free to experiment with posable action figures, comic strips, flip books, sketches and cutouts.

Stop-motion Vineographer Evan Hilton will guest host this week's challenge. Hilton, a Florida native, started making videos on Vine after seeing work by other artists, such as Pinot, Khoa and Yelldesign.
"I was immediately inspired by their artwork and decided to explore stop motion myself," he said. "What I love most about creating these videos is that there are endless creative possibilities that you can do through different mediums."
Share your Vine video by Friday, Nov. 29 at 9 a.m. ET using the hashtag #CreateACartoon. We will feature some of Hilton's favorite entries in a follow-up post.
1. Make sure you have a clear concept of what you're doing before you start your video. 2. Use bright colors to make your cartoon pop and stand out. 3. Good white light will make your Vine look very clean. 4. Pencil lines often don't show up as well as pen lines, so if you want dark and well-defined cartoons, use a pen. 5. Last but not least, be patient!
