Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S5 Will Scan Your Eyes

More rumors related to the Samsung Galaxy S5 are starting to leak, with the latest suggesting the phone may have a Quad HD screen as well as fingerprint and eye scanners.
The latest report comes from ZDNet Korea, which states Samsung is preparing to put Quad HD (QHD) and iris verification technology into its 2013 smartphones. A QHD screen has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, which is the same resolution as a 27-inch iMac. There's no word on screen size, but we imagine Samsung will keep it below the 5.5-inch mark, as not to overly compete with the successful Galaxy Note line.

BGR's report agrees: It states Samsung plans to release a standard plastic body variant of the Galaxy S5 as well as higher-end metal version, à la the HTC One. BGR continues that the next phone is expected to have a 64-bit processor, 3GB of RAM and a huge 4,000 milliamp-hour (mAh) battery.
The next Samsung smartphone will have both fingerprint sensors and iris scanners for security, according to ZDNet Korea. Samsung integrated eye-tracking tech into the Galaxy S4, so it would make sense that the company was looking for a way to add a security element to the mix as well.
ZDNet Korea adds that Samsung will unveil the phone at Mobile World Congress 2014, but that feels off. Samsung's past several Galaxy events have taken place without attachment to a trade show. We wouldn't be surprised, however, if the phone is unveiled in February for a March release.
