Those lively green creatures from 1980s puppet series Fraggle Rock are making a comeback — as animated characters on Hulu.
Hulu will unleash Doozers, an animated series from the minds behind Fraggle Rock, Dinosaur Train and Yo Gabba Gabba, on April 25. The streaming service announced on Monday it had acquired the show from the Jim Henson Company and DHX Media.

At first glance of the show's trailer, Doozers feels like Bob the Builder meets Rolie Polie Olie. The 52-episode series is aimed at preschool children and will appear on Hulu Kids.

Hulu describes the series as such:
Hulu Kids viewers will be introduced to the fun and adventurous “Pod Squad,” Spike, Molly Bolt, Flex and Daisy Wheel. The four Doozer kids live at the edges of our world and right under our noses in the fantastical, modern and eco-friendly Doozer Creek. They’re green, they’re cute, they’re three inches tall and full of energy, ideas and enthusiasm. Doozers put their ideas into action and change their dreams into reality, from designing a Doozer Derby racing car to flying in a kaleidoscope of butterflies or building a giant gingerbread house! The series celebrates the spirit of being an innovator and inspires all kids to have an “I can do it” attitude. “Doozers” features a ground breaking design thinking curriculum, which is part of an overall STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) initiative.
Doozers isn't Hulu's first stab at original animated content. In 2013, Hulu debuted The Awesomes as its inaugural animated series about a few "funny-if-flawed" heroes, starring Seth Meyers as a writer and the lead voice. Hulu also released Eva Longoria's animated comedy Mother Up!, which follows a music executive's struggles with parenthood.
