5 Apps You Don't Want to Miss

PolyFauna is Radiohead’s latest digital experiment. Part game, part 3D canvas, users are encouraged to interact with and explore the trippy moonscape-like universe that the band has co-created with a team of digital artists. There’s no real point to the app, but it’s visually stunning, and features a great soundtrack (the entire experience includes music from “Bloom” off of Radiohead's latest album The King of Limbs). It's also surprisingly addictive. PolyFauna is available on iOS and Android.
Easilydo's super smart assistant app got a huge update this week. In addition to personalized notifications for managing just about every part of your day, users now have access to a host of premium (paid) features, including real-time email updates, advanced contacts management, on-the-go travel notifications and gift-card discounts. Easilydo is available on iOS and Android.
Chideo provides fans with exclusive access to their favorite celebs in the name of helping charities. The app is connected to a network of dozens of actors, musicians and athletes who represent various charities. Users can find their favorite star, and submit and vote on questions to ask them. The stars will answer the top questions with videos that can be watched in exchange for charitable donations. Chideo is available on iOS.
On the surface, #Pop will look familiar to users of Vine, Instagram or other photo- and video-sharing apps. But what sets #Pop apart is the way users interact with their feeds. Instead of simply uploading a single photo or video, users upload two photos, videos or GIFs that are then combined into a single (and often hilarious) “pop" that’s revealed when users tap on the image. #Pop is available on iOS.
Possibly the greatest customization app on Android, Themer ran into some controversy earlier this week when Apple had the app removed from Google Play because the Cupertino, Calif. company thought one of its themes looked a little too similar to iOS 7. But luckily for fans, Google soon reinstated the app. Themer lets users personalize the look and feel of their devices by choosing from dozens of elegant customizable themes for their home screen and menus. Themer is available on Android.
