5 Apps You Don't Want to Miss

Brian Cox’s Wonders of Life takes users on an interactive 3D tour around the globe to explore the origins of life on Earth. Based on the BBC show of the same name, the $5.99 iPad app includes more than two-and-a-half hours of video from Wonders of Life, along with hundreds of stunning images of ecosystems around the world. It also has the full text of Brian Cox's Wonders of Life book. The app is available on iOS.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is the all-new companion app launched to coincide with Fallon’s takeover of The Tonight Show. Fans can see the week’s full lineup of upcoming guests, watch clips and submit their own videos to the show, follow its latest Twitter updates and play 8-bit style games in Jimmy’s Arcade. The app is available on iOS and Android.
Flying Cyrus is the latest Flappy Bird spinoff to reach the number-one spot in Apple's App Store. Similar to the Fall Out Boy-themed Fall Out Bird that launched last week, Flying Cyrus stars a defiant Miley who must be safely guided to avoid wrecking balls and sledgehammers. It’s more ridiculous than the original, but just as addictive. The app is available for iOS and Android.
Clear isn’t new, but the app's iPad version is. With its most recent update, Realmac Software is trying to migrate all of its users from Clear+ to the new and improved Clear, which now includes a native iPad version of the popular to-do list app. The app costs $4.99, but existing users can upgrade for free. The app is available on iOS.
SurveyMonkey launched a mobile version of its survey-building and analytics tools this week. Users can now create and share customizable quizzes, polls and other surveys from within the app. Power users can subscribe to the premium version for $23.99 a month, or $199.99 a year, to take advantage of SurveyMonkey’s most powerful features, including unlimited questions and responses, company-branded surveys and premium survey templates. The app is available on iOS.
