Mashable Celebrates Digital Culture at SXSWi

Mashable continued its tradition of being one of the most buzzed about brands at SXSWi, with the Mashable House. More than 4,000 guests visited the space over three days to experience digital culture like never before.
From a giant wrecking ball for selfies to a hidden speakeasy called The Easter Egg, guests had no shortage of entertainment. The Mashable Gallery, a collection of our community's best Instagrams, Vine videos and Snapchats, also got a lot of attention, including a video with Kevin Bacon.
Mass Relevance created a massive projection of real-time social updates of our #MashSXSW hashtag. It covered an entire wall with the Interactive community's experience in the Mashable House.
Our partners also drew quite a crowd. In HBO’s Silicon Valley lounge, guests sipped Daily Greens juice, relaxed in nap pods and brainstormed startup names for prizes. Mashable House attendees tried their luck at MasterCard’s “Priceless Surprises” vending machine for a chance to win Samsung Galaxy Watches and meetings with tech industry veterans. Grumpy Cat stole the show in the Friskies photo booth where she angrily posed with adoring fans. Friskies also donated cat food to local animal shelters for guests who tagged their photos #HolyShrimp.
To cap off SXSWi, Mashable hosted MashBash at The Ranch in downtown Austin. Adobe Social hosted the VIP hour, complete with glowing cups and special margaritas. DJs were spinning all night long, drinks were flowing and the Interactive community danced the night away. MICK took control of the turntables, creating incredible mashups with a surprise performance by Bushwick Bill. Thanks to HBO, Tongal, Adidas and Phoenix Cosmopolitan Group for an unforgettable evening.
