A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck the coast of Chile on Sunday night local time, resulting in a small tsunami and the evacuation of three cities. No injuries were immediately reported.
The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics will announce a "major discovery" today at 12 p.m. ET. According to unconfirmed rumors, the news will be about the detection of “primordial gravitational waves” — theoretical ripples in space-time created in the moments after the Big Bang.
South Korean officials say North Korea has fired 25 short-range rockets into open water and is calling the move "justifiable self-defense behavior."
More brands are backing off their support of the St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York City. Guinness joined Heineken in pulling out of the parade because of the exclusion of gay and lesbian groups. Sam Adams brewer Boston Beer Company took the same stance in Boston's St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Flickr is set to unveil yet another redesign for the app and web in the coming weeks, according to a report in Re/code.
