This is the first time I'm writing in any blog so I've decided to write on my country. When we want to talk about country, patriotism comes automatically. I've learn this quality twice in my life. The first in 2000 when I was only 8 and then in 2009-10 at the age of 17-18. I won't deny when I was a child I supported Pakistan cricket team, even I did the same thing in 1999 as well. But in 2000 I came to know what they did. I started to hate them. I started to hate every single people of the country. Every thing of the country. I never supported them any more. And for the first time love for the counrty was born in a 8 years boy. But when I came to college, I started go to a teacher who was a freedom fighter. I won't tell his name. He fought in the Mymensingh area. He often told us stories about 71, feelings for country, patriotism, and such things. And most of the times we could not believe how can a freedom fighter say this!! But later I realized he was right. I changed my outlook about Pakistan. I don't hate Pakistan any more like before. That's because of a freedom fighter. You may not believe, but that's the truth. He said, there are three types of patriots in our country- 1)anti Pakistani 2)anti Indian 3)neutral most anti pakis are India lover. and anti Indians are Pak lover. So who are Bangladesh lover?? Those neutral people are the person. Yes, Pakistan did a unforgetable and unforgivable job in 1971, but not this generation. Why we abuse this generation? Do they know the real history? Answer is no. Just compare it like this: is a thief's son's always thief? So its our duty to to tell them. Its the age of globalization. Every nation needs help from others. So, on eyed to a country is a very bad thing Again the same thing for anti Indians. They think India will take our country!! They think to protest against India is patriotism. What a fool idea! He told not to keep any hatred in our mind against any one. If you can't respect the other countries at least don;t hate them. I'll finish with a speech of Rabindranath Tagore- " If any one can't respect others', he can't respect himself." So respect others and respect yourself. Patriotism doesn't mean to be anti Pak or anti Indian.
